Artists and Designers of Needlepoint

Sometimes stitchers want a particular style to needlepoint or a certain project to start, or maybe somewhere to get ideas for their next independent creation. There are designers and artists who design specialty needlepoint projects that you may follow or get ideas from. Here are some of my favorite designers and artists of popular and unique needlepoint projects.

Ehrman Tapestry
Beautiful works and kits from imaginative designers. Needlepoint kits, limited edition series, cushions, pillows, panels and rug.
Designs of Beth Russell Needlepoint
You'll find classic needlepoint designs for stools, cushions, pillows and bell pulls. The website states, "Designers Forum is the world's leading producer of needlepoint kits based on the 19th century designs of William Morris and William De Morgan and other members of the Arts and Crafts Movement." Stunning and breathtaking works.
Lani Silver
Her designs are fun and unique, and the website also offers a stitcher's finishing service. You can find on the website a great many zen symbols and Oriental motifs to work in needlepoint, too.
Michael Powell Cross Stitch Art
Based on watercolors, these charts are beautiful to look at. The buildings, with their fluid lines, would make a plain wall come alive if worked and mounted several different ones together.
Kunst & Vligwerk
Looking for samplers? Unique and interesting samplers, contemporary and antique reproductions.
Debbie Mumm's Counted Cross Stitch Bows
Fun household accent bows with Debbie Mumm's designs to make stitched with counted cross stitch on different canvases.
Terry Miller
Realistic looking floral designs and beautiful seashell kits that are hard to find elsewhere. You can also find animals, vegetables, Christmas ornaments and stitchpainted stockings.
Thea Gouverneur
This designer is a favorite among stitchers and her detailed fruit and animal series are wonderful to browse through. Her floral kits include single blooms and those in bouquets.
Mary Englebreit Designs
Mary Englebreit's crafts have a whimsical, colorful flair to them, and her kits have the same fun feeling.
