The Tools Used in Embroidery
By Renee Shelton

Embroidery uses just a few simple tools, which makes it easy to start up as a hobby.

Here are some tools associated with Embroidery: Click each to find out more information.

Needles: Embroidery needles differ from Needlepoint needles.
Beeswax: To prevent your threads from tangling.
Hoops or Frames: To hold your work as you are stitching.
Needle Threader: Don't worry, it's not cheating. Your main goal is to do the actual stitching. Some flosses can be difficult to thread through the eye of a needle, so these can be very helpful.
For Reproducing a Chart or Design: Graph or tracing paper and a pencil with an eraser.

If you have an interest in pastry, I invite you to my site: www.pastrysampler.com. It's my business site geared totally to pastry, with articles I wrote all about the subject, recipes, pictures of cakes I've done, tools for sale, and a questions and answers section that may help you in your next baking project.

All the best, and thanks for visiting!
